Suprise doctor visit

So for the past few weeks I've been having some dizzy spells that get pretty bad. I feel nauseous, sweaty, weak, and dizzy. It gets so bad that I can't focus and need to sit down. Like I need to faint or something.

My doctor thought I might just be dropping my blood pressure and to rest a lot and have plenty of snack breaks. Well I'm still having these little episodes. So my doctor told me that she wants to see how my heart is acting during these episodes. She recommended I wear an EKG Event Monitor for two weeks!!! Yikes. Very uncomfortable. What it does is record my heart while I have these episodes. I just push the record button and it makes a funny sound for one min. When the memory is all full I transmit it through the telephone. Its very strange how it all works. So hopefully we'll find out why I do these crazy things.

Vern Is pretty concerned about the whole thing but the doctor insured us that the baby will be completely fine. That it shouldn't affect him/her. I believe that my body is having a hard time dealing with all these changes and extra hormones going on.

Baby Pain

The baby seams to be growing so fast. These past few days have been very painful. A lot of cramps and other problems i wont go into detail about.

Last night the baby got real excited when vern was playing with my belly. He couldn't feel all the movements but i could. Its such an amazing feeling. The baby really loves his/her daddy.

Another appointment

I had another appointment last Wednesday. All my tests came back good and the baby's heartbeat is about 154 per min. Its amazing to hear baby Alex's heart knowing that he/she is growing inside me. The baby is such a wiggle worm. It took the doctor three times before she could hold down the heartbeat. At night baby Alex likes to sit on my right side and wiggle around. Its such a strange feeling. Almost like having butterflys. I'm 15 weeks along now, Just into my second trimester. The baby is about 4 inches long and somewhere between 3-6 ounces

Out next appointment is April 29th. We get to find out the sex of our little Alex. Our parents are most excited to start shopping. We still are hoping for a boy but everyone keeps telling us its a girl. We have our crib, dresser, stroller and car seat picked out. We should be picking everything up except the crib sometime this week. We have no room at our house so Debbbie, Vern's mom is going to store it for us.

I'm Pregnant!!!

So on January 19th (Vern's Birthday) we find out that I'm Pregnant. We are so excited to become parents. I can't help but smile at the thought of being a mommy. Ive waited so long.... well two years to be exact.

Our parents couldn't be happier. Debbie, Vern's mom is just ecstatic. She cried when we told her. This is going to be her first grand baby. As for my parents the are way excited as well. This will be #3 grand baby.

My sister happens to be pregnant right now as well. She is 7 weeks and 3 days ahead of me. Her and Chris are having a girl. So Preston gets to be a big brother. He is so cute about the whole thing. He'll go up to Carissa and lift her shirt and say "My baby sister" Give her a kiss and run off screaming... 2 year olds can be cute sometimes!! LOL!

Our due date is September 19th. A wonderful day it will be. Our friends Ben and Leslie are getting Married that day and both me and Vern are in there line. So lets hope I'm a week early.

I had my first appointment four weeks ago and everything is perfect. The baby is just the right size for being 10 weeks. Still can't tell the sex yet but we hope its a boy!!! We want the whole older brother going on.

I had another appointment two weeks ago to do some more tests. They measured my fluid around the baby and that is just where is should be. I have another appointment in 5 days.

I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow and I've already gained 10 pounds. You can see my bump but most people can't see all my weight gain. I sure can I went from a size three to a size 7. I know I shouldn't be depressed about it but I am. I'm just glad its the baby and not something else! :)

Well I'll sure to keep things updated on how the baby is doing. I'll also post some pictures.

The Best Day of the Year

Today Is in my opinion the best day of the year! It's my Birthday and I turned 23 today. It's crazy to think that I'm in my early 20's. I feel old sometimes but that's what being an adult does to you in this world. I'm so young yet I want so many things that are just out of my reach.

These past 23 years have been amazing. I've done so much already and yet I keep adding to the list. I am very thankful for my life and all of those who have been in it and are still in it. I am proud of my accomplishments and I am very excited for those to come!

I hope to graduate collage in the next three years. Its real hard for me to take more then one class at a time right now but I'll make it through. nursing school is going to be real hard but very worth it!

I hope to have children sometime in the next five years. I feel obligated to wait till Vern is ready, even though I've been ready.

I hope to buy a house in the next two years. Our fiances and credit have put us more behind then we hopped.

There are many small things that I hope to accomplish over the years as well.
Traveling over the ocean is going to be accomplished this year. We have to opportunity to go to Hawaii for a vacation in October. Possible by Vern's father.

Life is so great and there is just no time to do everything in it!! I hope my next 23 years are even better then these past years.

I love you all and thanks for making my life worth everything.

My poor baby

So it has come to that time. Zuko my little baby has to have surgery. "No more waiting." Says the Doctor. We have a few weeks to come up with a $1000+ to pay for it. I"m not sure what to do.

Zuko will be a year old next month. His balls have not dropped yet and the Vet fears they will not and will possibly turn cancerous. So Zuzu has to have exploratory surgery to find and remove them. We had hoped to breed him at least once, but won't be able to.

It will be hard to see him suffer the first few days. He'll have to ware one of those cone collars. My poor baby, he's too young for surgery. (sigh)

The Hospital

Last night I was rudely disturbed by my sister at 1:30 am. Only to be informed that my 72 year old grandmother had possibly had a stroke. I rushed up to Davis hospital meeting my parents, my sister, and my aunt. The Doctor did a series of test and found out that she had not had a stroke but had passed out do to heart problems and lack of oxygen. Among other things she is only using 30% of one kidney while the other is not being used at all. So safe to say she is doing all right. I stayed with her at the hospital so everyone else could go home and get some sleep. They hooked up a small heart monitor to her to record her heart and oxygen intake. I took her home around 5 am and stayed with her until 9 am. My aunt checked on her this afternoon and my mother has been there most the evening. Tomorrow we find out what her heart has been doing. Hopefully they can figure something out to better herself.
