November is coming to a close but not with out memories. This month Vern and I celebrated 5 different Thanksgivings. Our first one I made with the Help of Summer. Vern's dad has had a very strange schedule these past years and he wanted to make sure we all got together with him and had dinner. He came home on Saturday the 13th and me and Summer slaved away all day on Sunday to make dinner. We made two deep fried turkeys and on roast duck. Then all the fix ins of course. We had a few people over who are close with Vern's dad. It was really fun but when it came down to it I couldn't eat more then a few bites. Later that night I did enjoy a good hearty plate!
Our second dinner was at Vern's uncle Steve's house. They have a "friend" Thanksgiving every year. We went to that and watched the MMA fights after. Not my choice of a good show but it was fun!
On the actual Thanksgiving day we headed over to Debbie's right away. I had to make Sweet Potato Casserole and Vern made another fried turkey. Then we headed over to Grandma Fitzgerald's house to have a small bite and to see Vern's extended family. All I have to say is CRAZY!!!! Wow some of Debbie's aunts are, well..crazy! Grandma F looks really good knowing how her year has gone. Shes still a little forgetful but she couldn't stop telling me how beautiful and precious Allie was. That it "makes my day seeing her smile." After that we cruised up to my parents house and had a fun time with my Merrill fam and friends. My mom had reserved the church so that we all had enough room! It was really fun. All the kids played in the nursery and with the basket ball hoop....well tried. LOL. Emma took a bad spill right into her play stroller. He cut her nose, cheek and eye. Not to mention she's had a pretty bad cold. My pour baby niece is all bruised and sick. It made me sad to see her like that. Allie had a blast. she ate so much already and yet she still wanted more!!! Think she was saving for today cause lately she hasn't been eating. We got back to Debbie's about 6:30 and had dinner then finished off the night with Apples to Apples. I love that game and its so fun!!!
All in all this thanksgiving was the best and I'm so thankful I was able to share it with all my family and friends.
