Big News

So Vern came home the last two weeks of Aug. It was so good to have him home! While he was here we celebrated Alexis and mines's Birthdays.... lets say we were spoiled. Along with birthdays Vern told me he was ready to start trying for baby # 2!! Yup that's right we are officially trying to conceive baby #2. Ive haven't been this happy since i found out i was pregnant with Alex!!! If I'm pregnant now the due date will be May 24th If not and get pregnant next month it will be June 20th so lets pray I'm pregnant now... we don't need any more June babies! lol. We really want to have a boy even have a name picked already Silas Vernon.
So that's the big news and hopefully will be even bigger news next week!

Oil Feild Update

Alexis and I just got home from visiting Vern for 4 weeks!!!! In this picture the Derek is being chained up the the Craine so they can take it off the trucks and put it in place so the "Ruffnecks" can put it up right and get it ready for drilling. That is Vern standing on top of it.

While In Williston we applied of a mortgage loan and found out we need to wait a few more months. Per North Dakota regulations we cant buy a trailer home like we had planned. As first time home buyers there a a few regulations that we have to comply with. With this news its looking like we wont be up there till around January. Its a little frustrating that we have more waiting to do. But when life gives you lemons... make lemonade!

Massive Snow Storm in Williston

Saturdays snow storm left the West side of North Dakota in mounds of snow and the biggest black out in history. Williston got the worst of it and Vern has been freezing his but off due to no heat. Power is still out and they have no idea when it will be turned back on. Hundreds of polls are down and the main power line is toast. Vern and his roommate ran a power cord from the truck to their second story hotel room just so they can charge there phones. I'm not sure what Mother Nature is up too but its way too cold for May! 

Everyone seams to be worried.

I had a very long conversation with Vern today. We plan on getting a few bills paid off this May. Starting in June we will be applying for a home loan. We have decided to buy Casey's boss' house. Its a three bed two bath double wide mobile home. She is selling it for $115,000. If things go well and we get the ball rolling on the loan and closing Ali and I will be leaving Salt Lake around the first week of July. So all of you that are upset and angry that we are leaving you have about 2 months to get all your "spending time" in with Ali.

I want everyone to know that Vern and I took awhile to come up with this decision. Its in our family's best interest to be together where ever it may be. As of now that is in North Dakota. Its a 14 1/2 hr drive. Approximately 996 miles. Or its a $500 round trip flight. (Gas is about $490 round trip)

The up side to this is that Its going to be cheaper and easier for Ali and I to come visit everyone in Salt Lake rather then Vern take time off and come visit us. So please don't worry about never seeing Ali again or forgetting who you all are. We wont be gone long. 3-4 years is all.

I do plan on making a photo album for Alexis so that she can see every ones faces and know who they are. We also have Skype and its only $18 for a web cam at Walmart and Skype is free.

The Beggining of our new transtion

As you all may know Vern has been up in North Dakota for four months and is doing great. However, the 1000 miles between us is more then we can bare. In these next few weeks I will be getting rid of almost all of our possessions. Only keeping the important stuff... pots, pans, plates, the bed and Alexis' stuff. As of right now we are officially house hunting in North Dakota. In order to get Alexis and myself up there with Vern, we have to buy a house. There is absolutely no available rentals. Which is fine by me. I'd rather live in my own house. Think its about time anyway. When we move we need to take as little as possible. The smaller the Uhaul the better. Like I said before it is a 1000 mile drive.

During these next few years I want to keep a blog. Keep everyone updated on our progress to a better life for our children. Let everyone know how Vern does in work and how I cope with out my Friends and Family. Its going to be tuff but the important thing is that we'll be together. No matter where we go in life, as long as we have each other nothing can stop us! We hope for all your love and support in these next few years.

Finaly over the Sickness!

Its been a week and I'm finally over being sick! I was able to work out today with out passing out or having massive pain in my chest! Lets just say that P90X kicks my but!!!! I did Legs and Abs today and I feel like a blob of Jello sitting on a very unsteady plate!

Vern is doing well. He has been out in the Field for 5 days now and he loves it! Everything he tells me about it i just hold my tongue and try not to tell him that I hate his job! Its so dangerous it scares me! I make sure to tell him that I love him and for him to be careful every night before he goes to sleep. He wakes up at 5:45a everyday and gets off work at 6 or 7pm every night. Hes not aloud to work after dark. His job is too important to get anything wrong and they believe that day light is better light then lamps! He already starts over time tomorrow. He also gets his first check on Tuesday! I'm so excited to finally have money. He said that most likely he will be home on March 24th and is hoping to stay 10-14 days. If he is unable to take that much time off it will only be 7 days. I don't really care how long he's home I just want to hold him and kiss him and sleep next to him.

Its been 4 weeks already and as i look back its gone by pretty fast. Now looking ahead it seams like a long time.

Valentines day!

Today is Valentines day and it will be the first one in 7 years that ill will spend with out the one I love so deeply! Vern has been gone for 4 weeks now and I'm really feeling lonely! Is mine and Vern's 5th V day together and we get to spend it 1000 miles apart. I kinda wish I would have flown out there just for the night! But that cost money that we dont have. I miss him so much. I don't know how people in the military do it. they go 6+ months with out seeing there other halves.
I'm going to be spending the night with Allie Debbie and Summer over at Hollywood Connections. It will be fun being just the girls tonight!

Super Bowl

Its Super Bowl Sunday and its going to be a great game! Green Bay Packers!!! Woot woot!  and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Boo Boo. I'm a die hard GB fan! Its been 7 years since GB has been to the super bowl. This will be the Steelers 7th time. Its going to be a glorious day when Dan Rodgers takes the gold home!!!
I planned a party but the only people who are coming are My sisters and family and Jon. Oh well. I couldn't get a hold of anybody but Les and they are going to her sisters house. Guess its Austins girlfriends birthday as well.

4 weeks

As of today I will be seeing Vern in four weeks. I'm so excited to finally know exactly when I'll see him. Its been hard these past few days. Mario, Casey's friend, had failed his drug test and lost his job. Along with his apartment that they all were staying in. So today I called everywhere to help find them a hotel they could stay in till an apartment opened up for them. Vern's company doesn't have apartments like Mario's did but they do have contracts with some hotels. They will be staying at The Vegas in Williston.
Vern starts his job tomorrow so its good that they found a place today, that way he wont have to be all stressed out this week. Now the real hard part starts. He'll be working so much I wont get to talk to him that often and when I do it will be during weird hours. I hope it wont be too much harder. I don't know if I could do it.

The Beggining of a New Challenge

So a few weeks ago I was on Facebook and Vern's cousin's wife Emily had made a post asking if anyone wanted to join her in running a marathon this year. It intrigued me. So as of Monday the 24th I decided to do it! I've been talking with her and we have both started training. I got some great tips on line and from a great friend Lynor who has been running marathons for over 20 years. My first goal is to run a 5k that's 3.166666 miles. Not too bad if I might say. But working out is kicking my but. I do cardio of 15 run for 15 and a cool down workout for 15 each day... except Sundays, that's my day off. Every week I'm going to increase my running by 5 min. Emily and I have set a date for the 5k, March 26th. I hope to do well. I will also be running a 10k in May a half marathon in Aug and a full Marathon in November! I'm really excited to be doing this. Its given me a lot to concentrate on. I have to stick to a strict workout schedule, a high carb, high protein diet, and a set time for when I go to bed and wake up. Not only am I going to accomplish this great task I'm also going to be getting very healthy. So everyone wish me luck!

Day 9

Well its official, this has been the longest I've gone with out seeing Vern. I do say this, Its been hard. I am however grateful for Skype. This way I've been able to see his face. Allie loves watching Vern on the computer. She touches his face gives him kisses and says hi. When she wants to see him she points at the computer and jibber jabbers. I think Vern has finally got a job. He had me send him a bunch of paper work and e-mails today. It will be a little less stressful knowing we have money coming in. most our bills are due in this next week so he better bet a move on it!
I have about 51 more days with out him. I'm trying to keep my head up and my mind busy. I hope Allie and I can go see him some time next month. It will make things a little easier.

Day 4

So its been 4 days going with out Vern. I actually slept all night last night. It was amazing. Today I had a few errands to do for Vern. I went to see Vern's computer supplier. I needed to get some Ram for Ben and see if they had any for Corey's laptop as well. I wasn't able to find any for Corey but I was lucky to get one for Ben. It didn't work though, that was a bummer. Anyway on my way home I was getting off the freeway and stopped at the red light. It had turned yellow so i started to slow down. This guy behind me honked. So the light turns green and I start to push on the gas. Now I'm in a big truck so it takes a few seconds to get going. The guy behind me starts honking frantically, so i keep it slow just to piss him off. get to the speed limit and just hold my ground. He cruses next to me and points at me. Had an angry face and all. Well he sticks to me. followed me all the way down 5600 w. I pull into Wendy's. he zooms into Carls Junior and comes around to the parking lot where i was. This is when i got scared. I call Vern and he calls Wes, no answer. He calls Summers boyfriend Anthony. Anthony tells him to have me come to his house. Anthony is so small kid. hes 2 bucks plus and 6 something feet. A big kid and very intimidating. On my way to his house I loose the guy. In the mean time I'm scared as shit. Took me a while to finally calm down. Lets just say some people are crazy! Going to go out and get me some Wasp Spray for the tuck. It reaches those ass holes that are further away. Already got the pepper spray with tear gas in my purse. 56 more days and counting! I really miss Vern.

Allie and Her Wipes

So Allie likes to think it's funny to pull all the wipes out of the wipe dispenser. I've been really good about putting it up but the other day I forgot and she pulled them ALL out. It was so dang cute I couldn't help but laugh. We took some pictures. Lets just say I'll be more careful about leaving them around.

Day Two

Day two with out Vern has come and gone. I seamed to keep myself busy! Cleaned the back yard, the Kitchen, and Allies room. Came up to my parents house and enjoyed the kids. So far its been alright with out him but I haven't been able to sleep. I'm going to stay at my parents tonight so maybe that will at least help me get some consecutive sleep.

C'est la vie!

Well that's life. We make choices and we have to live with it! We make decisions and we have to take care of it! There are so many life's out there but this life is mine and the things that happen in it are in my control. Some times we have to do the hard thing and make sacrifices. Today I made a big one. Vern has left. Has left us for two months. He has gone to make a better life for us. Its going to be really hard but its something we chose to do. I love him for making this decision. He is so strong and yet i feel so weak. This challenge will bring us close together and strengthen our relationship and love.  Ill be praying everyday for his safety and courage! Ill pray for myself.

C'est La Vie

Vern is leaving

Tomorrow afternoon Vern and his brother Casey are going to be leaving for North Dakota. They are driving up there to look for jobs in the oil fields. it might take him a week to get hired and its possible that he will be gone for about 2 months. I'm very nervous about him going and more nervous about not being able to see him for so long. Its going to be tuff. Not being to see him and touch him every day. Or sleep next to him each night!

Are plan is that he'll do this for about three years. Bringing in anywhere from 4-8,000 a month. with this money we're going to pay off our car and CC bills. We are also going to be saving most of it to start buying 4-plexus. with Vern's dad and brother doing the same in three years we will have enough 4-plexus rented out that he wont have to work anymore.

During this time I'm going to try and finish school. I would still like to become a nurse and work part time. I wont have to if everything goes according to plan. I'm keeping my eye on the big picture and going to fill my time with projects friends and family!

I'm getting tons of support from everyone so i believe ill make it through this.

Ahhh!

So Vern's dad and brother Casey finally moved all their stuff in!!! Now the house looks like a big storage unit!! This suck! I have no where to put anything! Luckily Vern is going to put some wood up in the rafters of the garage so we can store all Casey's house stuff. He is also going to pack up all his computer stuff, so I can put shelf's in the laundry room so store extra food and all the blankets and linens and all the house hold stuff I don't use on a daily biases. All in all things are starting to get more organized.

Vern leaves in a week and I'm not excited! Its going  to be really hard with him not here. And come to find out he may be gone for about two months before he can come home! This is going to be a really hard year. I do however have a great feeling for this year. Very positive things are going to happen!

Now on to Allie. She had three teeth that have popped through and two more on the way! She has been a very cranky girl this past week. I certainly don't blame her, she deffinatly has her dads pain level. Her hair is getting really long as well. She needs about one more inch and I will be able to pull it all up in a poney!

As for me I need to srtar on a few projects to keep me busy. Im thinking of gettign my scrapbooking on the go again. But to do that I need to print alot of pictures. I would like to have something else to do but I haven't figured anything out yet. Things will be hard and the days will be long but at the end of three years I will have a perfect life. All I have to do is be paitent.
